After dropping their previous game to the Hardy Herons, The DMaxxx came back with a strong performance against the T-Team to take the 3-2 victory.
Captain Miguel Dimacali was the first to strike as a bad pass gave him a one-on-one situation against Je Dimalaluan resulting in an easy goal. DMaxxx would then continue to pressure the T-Team as Candy Sun made good off a rebound on a shot by Marc De Mesa, putting them up by two. But Joco Navarro would bring T-Team back into the game as he managed a goal from the right wing after freeing himself of a scuffle behind the goal.
In the 2nd period, a corner play by D-Maxxx resulted in Sun sending the ball into the net 3 minutes into the period, but was ruled invalid after being called a kick. But Sun would get a chance to get the goal back as she took advantage of a missed dive by Dimalaluan to cross the ball into the goal.
In the dying minutes of the last period, Navarro once again stepped up to bring T-Team within 1 after rebounding a shot by Ralph Ramos, but the D-Maxxx defense held on to close the game.
The return of key players Jun Pelejera and Neil Astrologo helped D-Maxxx shore up their defense and forced their 2nd lowest shots allowed since their game against the UA&P Dragons, having allowed only 16 attempts.
T-Team’s Je Dimalaluan recorded 12 saves in the loss, while Santiago had 14.
