T-Team Captain Tata Cabillas and Joco Navarro each scored two goals to lead the T-Team in defeating the UA&P Dragons, 4-1.
Despite the departure of Ralph Ramos, The UP T-Team showed now intention to let up against the UA&P Dragons. They started strong, scoring with under a minute in off a blazing shot by Joco Navarro.
Joshua Villareal would tie it up at shortly after, stripping Navarro of the ball, and then beating Myk Villanueva to position himself at the center for the easy shot. But Tata Cabillas would answer quickly, as he shuffled past 3 defenders for a point-blank shot to bring the T-Team back up by one.
The T-Team would continue to pressure the Dragons’ defense with long shots and drives, but it was not until in the 2nd period that they would score again, as Villanueva connected with Navarro from a hit-in, letting Navarro score off a quick backhand for his second goal. Cabillas then added a second goal of his own, taking a cue from Claude Vitaliano for a halfcourt shot that had the Dragons’ keeper lost.
The Dragons would not give up despite the deficit, getting 5 attempts on goal in the third period, but Je Dimalaluan kept them from scoring, sealing the 4-1 victory.
The win saved T-Team from a losing record, as they finished at 5-5 for 4th place. Meanwhile, the loss kept the Dragons winless with a 0-10 record leading them to a 6th place finish.
Je Dimalaluan recorded 7 saves for T-Team while Xybyl Descalzo recorded 3 saves in the loss.
