The UP DMaxxx extended their win-streak to three through a strong all-around team effort, as 6 players scored goals in their win against the UA&P Dragons.
Marc De Mesa started the show for DMaxxx as he weaved through the UA&P defense to score with a backhand for the 1-0 lead.
DMaxxx continued to push, but would not score again until in the 2nd Period, wherein Ian Galman took the ball on a fastbreak, beating Dragons Keeper Joaquin Antonio with a shot from the center. DMaxxx Captain, Miguel Dimacali then pushed the lead to three as a turnover by the Dragons would allow him a clean shot from the left wing.
The 3rd Period showed more of the same as Candy Sun converted with a long shot after stripping a Dragons Forward of the ball, later followed by Neil Astrologo beating multiple defenders on a fastbreak to make the lead five with 3 minutes remaining in the game. But DMaxxx did not go easy on the Dragons in the last minutes of the game, as Rookie Joem Prades added a goal from the left wing with 20 seconds remaining to close the game out.
The Dragons’ lack of pressure through long shots allowed DMaxxx keeper to coast through the game with only 4 attempts on him, while the Dragons’ Joaquin Antonio totaled 15 saves in the losing effort.
