The International Floorball Federation (IFF) has continually supported Floorball development in the Philippines by sending 400 sticks and 1000 balls last month.
Floorball Philippines, in cooperation with the IFF, continues to propagate Floorball to the different regions in the country by launching its long-term project that will introduce the sport to key schools and institutions in the country. The project aims to include Floorball in the Physical education (P.E.), co-curricular club, or after-school programs of at least 100 schools nationwide. The organization will be donating sticks and balls to deserving and willing public and private schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Floorball Philippines will also be conducting free Basic Floorball seminars for P.E. teachers or coaches to equip them to teach the sport to their students. This project will hopefully increase awareness of the sport and also rapidly multiply the number of players to choose from to make us highly competitive for the SEA games in 2015 in Singapore.
Among the schools that will be recipients of the equipment are Ateneo de Manila High School (P.E. program), Colegio de San Agustin Makati (grade shool co-curricular sport club), Davao Christian School (after-school program) and possibly De La Salle Santiago-Zobel School (P.E. or co-curricular club).
Interested schools or other institutions (i.e., NGO, company, church, etc.) who would like to start Floorball and to be recipients of donated sticks and balls may contact Floorball Philippines here.
